Most flavored teas are blends of Ceylon OPs and China Congou. (Congoue is the Chinese word for "gong fu" which is the general name for all non-broken (whole leaf) black Chinese teas. If the term is used in reference to brewing, it means "the art of brewing". Whenever possible natural escential oils are used for scenting. However, some flavors such as berry types contain artificial oils, because the natural escences do not reproduce an acceptable flavor. Adding petals, leaves, etc. has proven to be well accepted in flavored teas.
